  • Read the IAESTE Employer brochure
  • Contact IAESTE Ireland to discuss your needs
  • Confirm the duration and the skills and attributes needed for the traineeship

  • Complete the Offer of Training form to offer a traineeship through IAESTE
  • Review the ‘nominations’ for you traineeship sent by the IAESTE Ireland office
  • Notify the IAESTE Ireland office if you accept the nomination
  • If you don’t accept the nomination, advise the IAESTE Ireland office you would like to see another nomination


  • IAESTE Ireland will notify you of the trainee’s arrival details
  • IAESTE Ireland will organise accommodation for the trainee

  • Complete and return the Employer Report (sent by IAESTE Ireland)

  • Contribute to the Léargas blog, Insights
  • Encourage fellow employers to offer an IAESTE traineeship and guarantee an opportunity for other Irish students!

Léargas is a not-for-profit organisation that operates under the aegis of the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. Léargas manages European, national and international exchange and cooperation programmes in education, training and youth and community work and has been managing such programmes for over 30 years. Léargas currently has 40 staff based in our Dublin office. Our staff come from Ireland, Poland, France, Croatia, Denmark and Spain and have wide-ranging experience in education, training, community, youth and development work; and in IT and finance. The National Centre for Guidance in Education operates under the aegis of Léargas.
