Discuss use of ECVET with your organisation and partners from an early stage
Include all relevant staff in your organisation in discussions about ECVET e.g. trainers who will be responsible for identifiying units of learning outcomes, admissions officers who may calculate ECVET credit points, etc
Decide the role of all involved partners and the conditions under which credits can be achieved and transferred
Use the template to record this decision in a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’
Identify units of learning outcomes and agree how to document learners’ achievements
Clarify procedures for assessment, validation and recognition
When all arrangements are agreed, compile and sign a Learning Agreement
All relevant partners provide learning activities in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding and Learning Agreement
All relevant partners carry out assessments of the learning achieved
Validate the learning outcomes to recognise the learning achieved
Evaluate the process and its results with your partners, with learners, and internally in your organisation
